Program Launched to Strengthen Professional Ethics of CWU Teachers

A special training program was recently launched at the Jinggangshan— located in Jiangxi Province of east China and a sacred site for its historical significance — for 45 outstanding and newly recruited teachers of China Women’s University (CWU) by Personnel Office of the university, from April 17–21, 2015, in cooperation with the Publicity Department, the Trade Union and the Center for Teacher’s Development.

Jinggangshan, known in modern history as the cradle of the Chinese revolution, bore witness to numerous events during China’s periods of turbulence and left many sites of great significance — both historically and culturally — for the younger generations in China. The training group of 45 teachers paid visits to some of these sites, such as the Jinggangshan Martyrs Cemetery, the Jinggangshan Museum and the Longjiang Academy, an ancient school for the local people. Through interviews and discussions held with former Red Army soldiers, the teachers were greatly inspired by their courageous acts of serving the revolution at the risk of their own family and life.

When the training program came to the end, all the group members vowed to unite together to build a better China Women’s University through their concerted efforts, regardless of whatever challenges and difficulties might lie ahead.
